Saints Take Down Phantoms On Senior Night

The Holy Cross men's basketball team had a non-conference matchup today, when they played host to the East-West University Phantoms in McKenna Arena. Before the start of today's game, Holy Cross honored Jalen Martin, Ryan Cartaino, Storm Cook, Beau Ludwick, and Mick Sullivan for their great playing careers on Senior Day. Mick Sullivan had a quick start in today's game with 6 points in the first four minutes of the game. The Saints shot 71% from the field and 40% from three-point range in the first half. The Saints shot lights out early in the game and would propel them to a 42-29 lead going into the half. In the second half, the Saints did not slow down and shot 71% from the field and 50% from three-point range. Nash Hostetler had a great game, knocking down six three pointers. Beau Ludwick was efficient and scored 18 points in the game. Mick Sullivan was a presence in the paint all game and went a perfect 7/7 from the field and scored 17 points. Ryan Cartaino was also efficient and scored 14 points of his own. The Saints dominance on offense would lead to a 95-63 win over the Phantoms. With the win, Holy Cross improves to 13-14 overall and 8-11 in conference play.
