Cross Country Sectional Information
Mt. Vernon is excited to be hosting the 2022 IHSAA Sectional #21 Cross Country Meets. Important details for the event are included below:
DATE: Friday, September 30th
LOCATION: Dellen Field @ Hancock Health Stadium
GATES: Open at 9:00AM
RACE TIME: 9:45AM (Girls) / 10:30AM (Boys)
TICKETS: The IHSAA has gone exclusively online -> 2022 IHSAA Cross Country Sectional #21 Tickets
VENUE ENTRY: Spectators will enter through the ticket gate to the east of the soccer fields. We ask spectators to stay outside the flagged course area.
CONCESSIONS: accept cash or credit. Concessions are available at the football stadium
RESTRICTIONS:
– No outside food or drink permitted
– No footballs, soccer balls, or other sports equipment permitted.
– The use of an unmanned aerial vehicle (drone), at or about an IHSAA Tournament Series site during (or within 30 minutes of) an IHSAA Tournament Series event is prohibited.
AWARDS: Awards for both the girls and boys races will be presented at the soccer field. Spectators may sit in the bleachers as the top 20 individuals and top 5 teams are recognized with ribbons, with the sectional championship teams being awarded a trophy as well. The top 10 individuals from non-advancing teams will also be recognized for advancing to the regional at Rushville on October 15th.
