Tennis Falls To Conference Foe

The New Palestine tennis team played a competitive match Wednesday against Mt. Vernon, but came up short in a 5-0 loss to the Marauders.

Moses Haynes played well at No. 1 singles against the county champion, but fell 6-3, 6-1. The other two singles matches were the longest of the night - Arjomand Khokhar fell 6-3, 7-5 in a competitive match with several long rallies, while Brady Torzewski played a smart match in a 6-4, 6-4 defeat.

Dawson Lynch/Nick Perrett fell 6-1, 6-0, while Max Havel/Eli Sloan fell 6-1, 6-2 at doubles.

The Dragons won the JV match 9-2.

The Dragons are now 8-9 on the season and finish HHC play with a 1-6 mark. They finish the regular season Thursday at Chatard.
