Five Robotics Teams Advance To World Championships

New Palestine Intermediate School recently issued the following announcement.

FIVE ROBOTICS TEAMS ADVANCE TO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

New Palestine Intermediate and New Palestine Junior High will both send a combined five robotics teams to the VEX Robotics World Championship in Dallas, TX after qualifying at the state championship on March 12.

NPJH's team Wooosh won the state championship in their division of 89 other teams. You can watch Woosh's championship round here.

NPJH's Team I'm a Banana was selected for an Amaze Award, given to teams who score well in the contest, demonstrate they are knowledgeable in programming and the robot's program is effective and successful. You can watch I'm a Banana in action here. A third VRC team from New Palestine Junior High also qualified for worlds.

Both of NPI's sixth-grade teams also qualified for worlds after a successful competition Saturday as well.

Congrats to all of our robotics and teams and good luck at the World Championships in Dallas!
