Mt. Vernon Community School Corporation invites all first responders, veterans, and community members to the event on September 10th that will commemorate the 20th anniversary of 9/11!
Join us at the Mt. Vernon High School Hancock Health stadium at 9:11 AM on Friday, September 10th. The commemoration will showcase a military color guard, the Mt. Vernon High School band and choir, scheduled moments of silence, and a student display of unity. See details below for parking; please arrive after 8:30 a.m. to avoid school traffic and buses. Our students were not born when the terrorist attacks changed our nation, however, we all continue to be impacted by the war on terrorism; we support those who fight for our freedom while protecting our county.
