Volleyball Falls In Sectional
The New Palestine volleyball team won the first two sets, but ultimately dropped a 19-25, 22-25, 25-23, 25-20, 15-13 decision to Greenfield-Central.
The Dragons controlled the first two sets and rallied to take a 23-22 lead in the third, but G-C scored the last three points and never trailed in the final two sets. A late rally by the Dragons drew within one in the fifth set, but G-C was able to close out the match.
The Dragons' season finishes with a 25-5 record, the program's third consecutive 20-win season and seventh in the last eight years. It closes the outstanding careers of seniors Isabella Gizzi, Reagan Kleiman and Honour Mallory.
