New Palestine ranked 582nd in Indiana for the percentage of households receiving food stamps in 2020, according to U.S. Census Bureau data.

There were four New Palestine households (0.4 percent) who received food stamps. New Palestine's population was 2,456 in 2020.

The city with the largest percentage of households receiving food stamps in the state was Van Bibber Lake, which had 169 of 271 households receiving food stamps, 62 percent more than New Palestine. In 2020 the population of Van Bibber Lake was 659.
